In ancient England, deep back in the mists of time, when our island was still covered in forest, each spring the Flower Maiden celebrated the end of winter by dancing in the sunlight with the Summer Lion, bedecked with flowers. They are joined in their merry vernal procession by a cheerful faun, revelling in the joys of spring and the bounty of nature.
